Amazon against overseas GIs? April 30, 2008 Kelly Fitzpatrick (Ipan, Guam USA) 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
I just ordered these boots from another source. I hope and expect to love them. My beef is with Amazon. I am a long-time Amazon customer for books and music, and tried to order these, but they refused to ship them to a US Postal address on Guam, USA. They will not, apparently, ship apparel including boots to APO / FPO addresses, either. Decent boots are NOT unexportable technology. This idiot policy is a slap in the face to those of us who serve our country.
Great boots! April 6, 2008 Chris O (Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had these for just about a month now and am pretty pleased with them so far. They seem to be very durable and sturdy and were really comfortable right out of the box. Just a heads up: These seem to be a bit more narrow than the normal mediums I wear, so if you skirt the edge between medium and wide, I'd go with the wide to prevent the squeezing I'm experiencing until they fully break in. I would've given them a 5 star review except for that fact.
Most uncomfortable boot I've ever worn April 5, 2008 Tim Walsh (St. Joseph, Michigan United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've worn Converse boots for years, and loved them, they have always been comfortable and worked well for my needs. This one however has been the most uncomfortable boot I've ever worn. The boots tend to pinch, slip and are not at all flexible as compared to previous Converse boots that I've owned. The boot appears to be the correct size for my feet, and is consistant with my previous Converse boot sizes. I've attempted to break them in for a couple weeks with no real success. The problem areas appear to revolve around the stitching and joints in the boot. I'm going to try to return them and go back to the style I've been wearing.
